Configuring Dialup Internet Access with Windows 2000 

 

Step 1
 
Click the start menu and select Settings --> Control Panel

Double-click "Make New Connection"

Click the "Next" button when the screen shown below appears.

Select "Dial-up to the internet" in the list
Click the "Next" button

Select "I want to set up my internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)."
Click the "Next" button.

Select "I connect through a phone line and a modem" 
Click the "Next" button

Type your local access number in the "Telephone Number" textbox. Flagstaff is 214-1565. If you don't know your local access number, click here for a list. 
click the "Next" button

Type your user name and password in the appropriate text box
Click the "next" button

Type "APSCC" in the "Connection name" text box

 

  
Step 10
 
Select "No" when asked if you want to set up your internet mail account. 
Click the "Next" button.

Click the "Finish" button.

Right-click on the "APSCC" icon
Select "Properties"

Select the "Security" tab.

Click the "run script" button

In the "Run script" text box, do one of the following: 
Type the path to the apscc.scp file that you downloaded
or click browse and navigate to it
Click the OK button

You are now ready to connect. Double-click the "APSCC" icon to connect.
